firegear-kalea-bay-48-battery
Firegear Kalea Bay 48-Inch Outdoor Gas Fireplace — Battery Ignition

The 48-inch Kalea Bay creates a wide, open-front fire feature for an outdoor wall or custom enclosure. Its burner and firebox use 304 stainless steel, with a clean rectangular viewing opening that lets the surrounding finish become part of the design.

Battery-operated ignition

This non-LED model uses battery-operated Ecoflow ignition, making it a distinct choice from the line-powered LED model. Ecoflow provides electronic ignition, adjustable flame control and a safety shutoff with automatic relight following flame loss.

Choose the correct gas

Select Natural Gas or Liquid Propane to order the corresponding factory model. Both options on this listing are single-sided. A see-through conversion kit is optional and sold separately; do not assume the second glass and hood assembly is included.

Included and required separately

The factory fireplace includes its burner, firebox, ignition system and control center in a stainless steel cabinet. The surrounding wall, framing and finish materials are supplied separately. Rock media, fire glass and log sets are not included. Select manufacturer-approved media before operation. Optional weather covers, remote controls and see-through conversion kits are separate purchases.

Installation planning

This is an outdoor built-in gas fireplace, not a portable freestanding fire pit. A qualified installer must plan the gas supply, cross ventilation, framing, required clearances and battery access using the exact model manual. The appliance dimensions below are not the framed opening dimensions. Manufacturer drawings in the gallery cover several sizes; use the row for this 48-inch model.

Specifications

Factory family

OFP-48LECO-N / P

Configuration

Single-sided outdoor built-in fireplace

Firebox and burner material

304 stainless steel

Viewing opening

48 inches wide × 16 inches high

Overall appliance size

52 inches wide × 33.5 inches high × 16.25 inches deep

Ignition

Ecoflow electronic ignition

Electrical supply

Battery operated

Gas

Select factory Natural Gas or Liquid Propane model

Media

Required separately; manufacturer-approved media only

Manufacturer documents

Kalea Bay Battery 90021 Rev E installation manual — second section (PDF)

Firegear current product catalog — Kalea Bay page 3 (PDF)

Contact us to coordinate compatible media and confirm availability before scheduling installation.
