The Fire Garden 4035 Traditional is a single-sided, 40-inch outdoor gas fireplace built for permanent installation in covered patios, outdoor living rooms, and luxury hardscapes. Its expansive 40" wide by 35" tall viewing area and 95,000 BTU output deliver a commanding, lifelike flame, while a fully welded stainless steel firebox with integrated weep holes stands up to the elements season after season.
This unit ships ready for Natural Gas and includes an LP (propane) conversion kit, so it can be configured for either fuel at installation. A 24V AC Hot Shot electronic ignition with wall-switch control makes lighting effortless, and the 3/8" tempered glass wind guard helps protect the flame from gusts. The ready-to-finish surround is designed to be clad in stone, brick, or tile to match your outdoor design.

Will fireplace doors save energy?
Yes. When closed during periods the fireplace is not in use, glass doors seal the firebox opening — preventing warm indoor air from escaping up the chimney and blocking cold drafts from entering. This is one of the most common reasons buyers add doors to a masonry fireplace, where an open damper can lose hundreds of cubic feet of conditioned air per minute.
Can I close the doors while a fire is burning?
It depends on the door type. Most masonry-fireplace doors with tempered or ceramic glass are designed to be operated open while a wood fire burns at full intensity, then closed once the fire has burned down to embers. Always check the manufacturer's instructions for your specific model. Doors with mesh curtains can stay closed during active fires — the mesh blocks sparks while letting heat radiate through.
How do I measure for fireplace doors?
Measure the firebox opening at three points each direction (top, middle, bottom for width; left, center, right for height) and use the smallest measurement. For overlap-fit doors, add room for the frame overlap (typically +2" width / +1" height). For inside-fit, subtract clearance (-1" width / -½" height). What's the warranty on EF fireplace doors?
All doors carry a 5-year warranty against frame defects. The powder-coat finish is warranted against chipping and fading for 5 years. Glass and mesh are warranted against defects for 1 year. Damage in transit is fully covered — file a claim within 48 hours of delivery.
